Key challenges

With an impending lease expiry, Schneider had to review their distribution center strategy for their key Hub Asia site. The existing site had limited capacity and could not accommodate predicted future growth. All other Schneider sites across the network worldwide had already implemented technology and automation strategies, and Hub Asia had not.

Our approach

TMX were engaged to review the automation options and payback period at a high level, as well as developing a racking and MHE solution, with the building fitout scoped and tendered by TMX.

On completion of these phases, TMX continued to manage both the construction and automation components of the project.

The results

An appropriate site was procured in a limited market, in a short time frame, with the rental achieving competitive on a long-term lease. The fitout was completed on time, despite supply and labor shortages through the global pandemic, going live in line with the lease expiry on existing sites.
